A Whole Lot of Sharing Going On At the Brooklyn Free Store

a11.4 212Join us this and each Friday (weather permitting) at the Brooklyn Free Store located at Lafayette & Marcy in BedStuy! We will be there from 12 noon ’til 5pm.

Since last week we were rained out we will have quite a bit to share at this weeks Free Store. We are bringing crates of books, household goods, bags and bags of used and new clothing that we would love to share. Of the books many of them are law or legal text books, there is also fiction including black urban fiction, magazines, text books, literature etc. We are bringing kitchen and household items including strainers, pots and pans, dish drying racks, clothes, shoes, food, canned goods, school supplies (markers, pens, pencils, notebooks. post its, etc.) There are a few toasters.

Expect crates of books, household goods,  as well as bags and bags of used and new clothing that we would love to share with people.

The idea of the Free Store is simple: take whatever you can use, bring whatever you can give that someone else could use. It is a model for another way of living without money and without scarcity.
